Typical Rake Structure

Poker venues charge a small percentage of each pot called the ‘rake’. The calculation of rake is based on the size of the pot and the number of players playing at the table. No rake is taken at all if the hand ends before the “flop” (no flop – no drop policy).

House Rake Calculation

Rake is calculated based on 5% of the pot to a maximum depending on the number of players playing at the table in 0.05 or 0.25 ($, €, £) unit increments depending on the stakes. Again, no rake is taken at all if the hand ends before the “flop” (no flop – no drop policy).
