Classic Poker will in December and January host qualifying tournaments to The pokerstars.com EPT Copenhagen which takes place in the period February 16 to February 21, 2010. Classic Poker have always supported poker tournaments taking place in Denmark due to their constantly increasing Danish customer base and thus it seems natural for Classic Poker to host qualifiers to the biggest tournament with the highest prize pool in Denmark in 2010.
It is expected that the online qualifier finals taking place primo February will send a minimum of 4 players to EPT Copenhagen where the maximum number of participating players will be capped at 500.
The winner of The PokerStars.com European Poker Tour Copenhagen 2009, Jens Kyllonen, took home €878,057 after beating a field of 462 players including famous Danish tournament professionals Jonas Klausen and Rasmus Nielsen who both reached the final table.
The 2010 edition of The PokerStars.com European Poker Tour Copenhagen will see a decrease in the total prize pool as the buy in have been reduced by 30% which is in line with the reduction of the buy in for almost all other EPT events to be held in the second half of European Poker Tour season 6.
As usual the event will be held at Casino Copenhagen and the SAS Radisson Hotel and players who look to play this event should secure their room at the Radisson hotel already now, as it is expected that the tournament and hotel both will be overbooked already mid January.
Keep an eye out for emails in the future as Classic Poker soon will announce the full qualifying schedule for EPT Copenhagen.
